Representation: participants will feel scared when they put their hands into the cage, but things in the cage may better than we thought,  this artwork shows the idea about unknown is the thing we truly afraid.

Tea is a traditional drink in Chinese culture, it join a lot of traditional ceremonies about inheritance and promises.

Let three people in different ages hold cups and pour tea from the youngest one to the oldest one.

Representation: the age hierarchy and importance of inheritance in Chinese culture 

 The color turquoise give us the feeling of relaxing and clam, like looking into a hollow sea( The color turquoise is same like a blurred view of sea)

 We hope to use the concept of turquoise sea to represent the daily struggle in mind and the self-reflection routine.

We found that the concept of the draft and the feature of turquoise is not related and the performance can't show the concept clearly.

We choose purple as the theme of our presentation. We found that purple is the symbol of luxury and poison, which are the elements we found in the issue of information explosion. So we planned to show a dinner as the social media platform and we make some fake food to represent Fake News mixed with eatable food, to represent the massive and mess information in social media.

After discussion, we planned to hold the idea of meal and more focus on the element of luxury, also to focus on the origin of mess information in social media. We found that the information in social media is control by people who have power to erase dissidents. So we present a breakfast party of powerful people with common royal breakfast meal: pancakes.  

We marked some random ID and XXX(as random names) on pancakes with food coloring, to present how powerful people erase their dissidents without any sign. We also play a mixed audio of classical music and confusing news, to represent how they use the information explosion as red herrings, and the setting of props and scene is purposely mismatching, such as we use bed sheet as tablecloth, plastic bottles as vases, to represent the misinformation.

 It's interesting to try different ways to sketch myself, the results surprised me.

We tried to capture the movements of a popular dance Toca Toca with the dance image sequences. In this exercise, we chose the old animation theme for our character design and background design, to follow our theme, we tried to preform character movements dramatically.Because we want audience more focus on the character movements, so we just draw the character without body.

At first, we come up the theme of environmental protection in cities. After discussion, we change it to how arts can make people happier, because we see a lot of cites are full of stress and we know art performances and participation can help people to reduce stress.

The character Mr. Pinky is a goose, because we want our character can be funnier in expression, and we focus our character choices in birds, because we want our character can fly freely.So in the final character choices, between goose and cockatoo(parrot), we chose goose, because we like the unique neck movements of goose. The idea of using kettle to spread happiness is hope to present the happiness which arts spreading is keep growing like flowers and grasses.

In this animation, we tried to use different kind of art elements, such as collage art, ballet and pop art, to present the vitality of arts diversely. In choices of music, we tried to use both waltz and pop music to show the diversity of arts. In choices of sound effects, we use recent meme's sound effects to get audience attention and make our animation more amusing.
